Lisa Torres practices in the areas of business reorganizations, creditors' rights, insolvency and commercial litigation since 1988. She represents a wide variety of clients including public agencies, secured and unsecured creditors, trustees, commercial landlords, insurance companies, creditors' committees and debtors in significant bankruptcy cases in California and as pro hac vice counsel in Delaware, Arizona and Texas. Her practice includes bankruptcy, collections, commercial leasing, commercial litigation, corporate governance, corporate transactions, loan work-outs, and strategic business planning. Ms. Torres has developed particular expertise on executory contracts and lease agreements and represents commercial landlords, public agency landlords and national tenants in Chapter 11 cases.  Although her practice is primarily focused on the representation of clients in the bankruptcy context, she has litigated substantial, complex commercial disputes in federal court.

In addition, Ms. Torres is an active volunteer in the non-profit arena. She serves as a board member on Innovations Academy's school board and is founding board member of the Jamul Arts and Music Council, Inc. a non-profit established to promote art and music education.
